Spectre Black by J. Carson Black

5.0

Someone is out to get homicide detective Jolie Burke. She is forced to flee her home, in the dead of night, and reaches out to her old friend and former lover ex-Navy Seal, Cyril Landry for help. When Cyril arrives in Branch, New Mexico, Jolie has gone missing.
This is just the beginning of the storm that Landry has stepped into. Corruption, murder, and a psychopath with secrets, Landry must find Jolie before the killers do. As always Ms. Black has written a very taunt, character-driven thriller. I think that the Cyril Landry series gets better with each book. The story flows seamlessly and the action never slows down. If you like a fast-paced read that never slows down, this is the book for you.
