The Dangers of Smoking in Bed is an excellent short story collection from Mariana Enriquez and has definitely gotten me interested in her other books. The stories give an incredible insight into Argentinian culture and explore many different myths and legends from Buenos Aires.
I found some stories in this collection much better than others, and some slightly odd. I still enjoyed the entire book and each story was quite interesting. My personal favourite story in this collection was either The Lookout or The Kids Who Come Back, as I found both incredibly intriguing to read.
Overall, I found this book really nice to read, and it is definitely one that will be on my mind for the next few weeks, with twists and turns in every story that gives it a lot of 'OMG WTAF' moments. I would 100% recommend this collection to anyone interested in learning more about Argentinian culture and legends.
