I really didn't know what to expect from this novel, I had been recommended it many many moons ago, and I needed a book for my Popsugar challenge 'From a non-human perspective', so it seemed an ideal time to read. I actually really enjoyed it. There was something so familiar about the characteristics of 'Fluke' and something simplistic about the plot and story-telling, and yet the novel gripped me. There was enough growing tension toward the end of the novel to keep the whole novel progressing, and the little twist at the end for a big finish.
