What would you do to protect your children? Rob just wanted a normal life, and had one for a while. But then she starts to notice unnerving behavior in her children, specifically her daughter Callie. Rob thinks that a mother daughter trip to her childhood home called “Sundial” deep in the Mojave Desert is just the thing Callie needs. But you can’t escape what's in your blood. The desert holds terrible secrets, and though Rob would rather leave them buried, her daughter Callie leaves her no other choice but to dig into the past.
As a huge fan of "The Last House On Needless Street" I was not disappointed by Wards newest book. This kept me clenching my teeth and furiously turning pages. Nobody does stress and anxiety like Catriona Ward, and I mean that in the best way.
