The God Butcher by

In all my years of reading Marvel, I've had very little exposure to Thor. He was dead when I first started reading, then cloned and I've never really read the Avengers books for any length of time. Marvel Unlimited has freed my reading and I've heard good things so felt like a change of pace.
It's a very different style of book from many of the Marvel comics I've read of late. Dark, violent and wonderfully illustrated, Jason Aaron plays around with 3 different eras to tell a larger story, crafting a tone and a depth to the character that happily caters to new readers and makes for an intriguing story. I'll be reading more.
