21st Century Boys, Tome 2 by Naoki Urasawa

Friends ultimate doom engine gets stopped at the last minute. The way it is stopped (and the very nature of the doom engine) is so .. childish :) but again that was the true nature of the entire plot, right. Nothing from the Book of Prophecies (old and new) would make much sense to an adult.

All the characters get their closure and finally Friend's identity is revealed. To say that reason for such hatred towards Kenji is ..... childish and unreal, is understatement. For me this level of hatred is pure evil, no other way to call it. The way Kenji handles situation in VR is also funny in a way, but again it is the only way kid can go and straighten things out.

All in all good ending but I still think this could have been part of the main series.

Art as always is pure joy for eyes.

Highly recommended.
