Started beautifully, became mildly slow and easy, ended with irritatingly blatant and superficial ‘morals,’ that would have rendered the book more impactful had they been implicit. But the beginning was so, so well crafted that I regret to lose a star - the consistent references to Thoreau also made my heart happy.
