my first read of 2023, finished on the first of Jan.

i liked this book, it was short (only 140 pages) and sweet in its simplicity. she and her cat tells the story of four women who find themselves connected through their cats. we switch between the perspective of the cats and their owners.

she and her cats, tackles the themes of loss, death, s.a and depression so please be aware before you read this that whilst it for me was a warm a cosy read it may not be for you.

i gave it four stars because i didn't click with the third story where the woman falls into depression (in my opinion) but then the cat is what pulls her out of it, for me it kind of brushed over the a to b of overcoming depression in favour of showing the significance of the cat.

overall, a short and sweet read.

book #1 of 2023
