3-4/5 ⭐️
I’m so confused with how I want to rate this! On one hand, I loved the book until about 45% where it dragged, so I researched spoilers to see if I should read on otherwise I’d dnf, and the spoilers insinuated that they covered much more the story. So I fast forwarded to a place where the most action occurred, which was about the 70% mark. And what happened kinda ripped my heart and soul, but also made me mad as fudge. Bc I loved the beginning and I appreciate the end, it’s bittersweet.

I know had I read the whole thing I’d rate it lower bc the middle of the book is unnecessary, but at the same time I shouldn’t judge a book based on like 75% of its contents.

In saying this, a reckon a solid 3.9/5 ⭐️ is pretty acceptable. Talons recent diagnosis and the complexities of life that follows was described well bc it showed how much conflict and torment he was in, and how angry and frustrating it can be to come to terms with a lifelong disease that affect your way of living.

Basically, bc they had such a strong emotional connection in the beginning and ending, the middle was fluffing around and didn’t hold as much emotional impact as the rest so it in some ways desensitised me to the intensity of the ending. Anyways!! It’s hard to know my exact feelings about this story

Also the ending was resolved too quickly and I think she deserved so much more grovelling from Talon bc as I was reading the break up even IIII felt heartbroken and I’m just reading words on a screen! So it needed greater pay of but ANYWAYS I suppose that comes with her accepting that the diagnosis was rlly hard for him and he acted out of character and whatever
