The paneling in this is well done. Especially where

Mags' abuela dies and it's split into four panels getting smaller and smaller

, the use of patchy black to represent the creature in the basement, carefully choosing where to hide the characters' faces. The part where Nessa's ex picks her up, however, made my head hurt in a thematically appropriate but frustrating way. Wonderful story.
