Honestly, this book was a bit of a hit or miss for me. I adored her Beauty and the Beast retelling [b:Hunted|24485589|Hunted|Meagan Spooner|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1467052649s/24485589.jpg|44080112], but this one just fell a bit short of my already high expectations. It's probably more 'it's me not you' type of situation because I have been in such a terrible reading slump these past few months and that may have affected my enjoyment. Firstly, I'd like to say that I think Meagan Spooner is a fantastic writer, and this was a unique gender-swapped retelling of the folk hero Robin Hood. Marian was an intriguing character, and I enjoyed the group dynamic between Robin Hood and her Merry Men. Gisborne was also an interesting, albeit unlikeable, character. I never really came to like him like I'm assuming you're supposed to
Spoiler and was definitely not on board with this romance thing they had going on.
All in all, a little disappointed, but I feel like maybe that's not the fault of the book. Full review to come.
