I'm not entirely sure why I liked the first book in this series, because I just can't get into this book.
It feels superficial, but there are some really heavy topics mentioned. Topics like women's rights, guilt, some ethics and morality discourse. I don't feel that this book is going to dig deep enough with any of it.
But mostly I'm just not feeling where the plot is going when I look beyond the themes of the book. The writing seems dull to me.
