This book presents that lust for power, immortality, and in this case invisibility, is a dangerous thing. One has to wonder, what if a genuinely good person gained the power of invisibility? Would they retreat from the world, or attempt to blend in, concealing themselves under layers of bandages? Would the knowledge of being unseen tempt even the best of us into wrongdoing? Would we all eventually reveal the monsters within?
At first glance, itโ€™s a straightforward thriller, but I was captivated by the deeper moral questions it raised.
