Why Soccer Matters by Pelé

hopeful reflective slow-paced

4.0

I really enjoyed how this memoir focused on a handful of moments from Pelé’s life, instead of trying to tackle everything from top to bottom. It was a great format you suddenly want to feel from other memoirs. However, as Pelé himself notes, his fame was so great, in order to survive there became the public figure Pelé, and the private figure Edson. As you finish this book, you still wonder who Edson is.
