It was definitely my fault for continuing to read it despite knowing the blurb described something I wouldn't like. I expected the mystery part to be full of twists but ended up finding nothing interesting. The idea of the secret society had good intentions, but their actions seemed really weird to me. The supposed biggest plot twist left me so unsatisfied that I just let it pass as I read. The romance wasn't my favorite either; it was so bland and cringe-worthy in every interaction.
The details in this book are nowhere to be found. Some parts have little description and seem to suddenly appear in the plot. The author tried to put the pieces together but failed. The main character is weak, supposedly built for solving the mystery but ended up not caring about any clues.
I'm glad I finished this because it was quite a terrible reading experience for a book with a promising premise. I did not enjoy this mostly for 85% plot, and it was so slow that I kept checking how many chapters were left to be done with it.
