The author has an easy to read writing style but other than that I just didn't like the book. It was impossible to tell even what period it was set in!

The book cover made me think Regency, some of the characters' behaviour was Georgian, but our hero had a search through his mother's desk & found stamps. So, Victorian?

Not recommended.
