Disney Manga: Beauty and the Beast — The Beast's Tale by Gianluca Papi, Mallory Reaves, Studio Dice

3.0

Disney Manga: Beast's Tale was based on the live action movie instead of the animation that came out in 1991.

To be honest, this one was more interesting to read compare to Belle's Tale since we rarely see it from Beast's POV in the animation or live action movie.

Unlike the warm and bright color we see from Belle's Tale, Beast's Tale was have darker and cooler tones of color for the art illustration portraying how he lives his life trapped in a curse which slowly change when he got to know Belle.

Although, I have to admit I've seen same scenes from Belle's Tale since I've read that one first before reading this. It might feels repetitive at some point, but I don't really mind it since I love seeing the stunning art.

Overall, this is a wonderful and beautiful manga illustration of beauty and the beast. Seeing it from Beast's POV and how the tone of art portrayed the Beast's emotion is a really nice touch to the story.

“Her sympathy makes me feel deserving, worthy. Like I can be better. She makes me feel like I can change and, more importantly, she makes me want to.”

If you want to pick this up, make sure to pick up the Belle's Tale too in order to read the full story of this fairytale.
