This is the second book in the Dance With My Demons series, and you’ll need to read the first one Unhinged before diving into this one. I loved how we got a second chance with Grey in this book, and you could still feel the tension and enemies-to-lovers dynamic with Damon. Damon didn’t crack in the first book, but he started to in this one.

I also loved the dark, glorified asylum setting, filled with mysterious secrets and a system controlled from the inside. The possessive dynamic between Theo and Grey over Avery made me melt. The knife and blood play scene was intense, and don’t even get me started on the plot twist—it completely swept me off my feet. I was in disbelief and shock, just like Avery. The book left me hanging on the edge of yet another cliffhanger. I just like how different this is to a lot of books I have read this year and it deals with some dark content. Excited for the next book.
