This was intensely readable even though it talks deeply about child sexual assault. Thera’s POV helps put the reader at a distance from the most triggering parts of the text. The ending wasn’t wholly satisfying, but it was realistic. I definitely trust Tarttelin to write about sensitive topics and look forward to reading more of her work.
Graphic: Child abuse, Rape, and Sexual assault
Moderate: Domestic abuse and Murder
