I watched the new Netflix series first, because I didn't have the patience to wait until my books arrived. I think I might have rated this even higher had I not. The tv series allows for more exploration of certain themes and more depth, which is logical of course. Alice Oseman herself said in an interview that she views the tv series as an expansion of the book series. That's not to say that the graphic novel didn't have depth, because it did, and I still totally loved it. I'm also looking forward to reading the other volumes, especially the ones that aren't yet adapted in season one.

This made me incredibly happy and I love that it exists.
