2.5 rounded up because I like Nnedi Okorafor as a writer; this book just wasn't for me.
It's objectively a really good book but I really didn't enjoy it. The writing is strong, the characters are all incredibly fleshed out and real. But I hated so many of them. Visceral hate. The only character I sort of liked died. The ending didn't resonate well with me. That is all. That is all I have space for.
