With both Khaled's books (this one and the Kite Runner) I have had issues to keep me going through the book. In this one, the storyline started to only make sense somewhere around the middle. I have actually abandoned the book for a couple of weeks and only with a lot of effort I reached the point where it caught my attention again. Since reaching that point, everything turned upside down. The story has a meaning, everything happens quickly, one event follows another. I loved the history, the details of the events which I could only believe our schools wanted to spare us of knowing...
