What's happens when you have you life all planned out and have the person you want to spend the rest of life with, but in an instant it's ripped right from you. That's what Maddox experiences. He's on the road to becoming a doctor and fallen in love with his roommate just to have a monster of a human being rip it away from him. Life has kicked Maddox in the butt, but he has Jaris in his corner. They have their work cut for them because Maddox doesn't want to bring Jaris down with him. Good chemistry between the characters. This is MM book. I really like this series and getting to revisit characters from the previous books. Looking forward to the next one.
