My Grammar and I (or Should That Be 'me'?): Old-School Ways to Sharpen Your English by Caroline Taggart, J. A. Wines

challenging funny informative inspiring lighthearted reflective relaxing medium-paced

5.0

I LOVED it. I'm a non-native, so my perspective on this book might be different from that of natives', but I found this book amazing due to 3 main points:
1.) It was interesting to see what can confuse natives about their own language. It provided me with a new perspective on English and it made me realise that in a sense (non-natives, or natives) we are in this together. We try to use language.
2.) I LOVED the quotes of famous people, professionals, opinions, debates and historical background information. Everything was presented with extreme ease, made me laugh out loud quite a few times and wasn't overdone. Very good sense of 'balance' over there...
3.) It made me buy the activity book that belongs to this one. It's quite challenging to buy it in Hungary but I managed to find a publisher that could order it. So now, I'm just waiting.:)
