Can't Escape Love by Alyssa Cole

5.0

Like all romances, this one requires several stretches in imagination to be able to read. If you can get over the deus ex machina though, this is a seriously good novella from a talented romance writer.

Reggie, the fraternal twin of Portia from A Duke by Default, runs a popular geek website called, Girls with Glasses. Unfortunately, she's been suffering from insomnia and would like to reconnect with an old friend who is a puzzle streamer (Apparently that's a thing???). This guy, Gustave Nguyen, has a soothing voice that helped Reggie relax. Coincidently, Reggie and Gus live in the exact same neighbourhood, because why not? It's a cute book, but at 128 pages, it's not a deep one.

It's a cute romance, and definitely worth a read as we wait impatiently for A Prince on Paper.
