This is exactly the story I was in the mood for. I’ve been trying to find a GOOD, good girl and a thug romance. I absolutely love Elle Kayson’s writing style, the multiple POVs that are cleanly written so you have the best vantage point or narrator for the story. The way she will have the characters address the read, the banter that is always well timed. The depth of the characters in this one I absolutely loved. You can tell the author has a clear vision for who their personalities and they true to them in ways that don’t hinder the pace of the story at all. But they aren’t switching up to do things they wouldn’t do to drive the story either which is a rarity. I knew there was another book but I wasn’t expecting a cliffy, it’s small but it was setup well. I’m really excited to see what kind of growth rhe characters make in the next book, because everyone has some growing up to do. This was just a great read. The plot isn’t overly complicated but has a suspenseful element to it. There isn’t an excess of filler moments and the amount of smex and romance are well balanced. Kayson really is a dynamic writer and I’m enjoying getting to read more of her work.
