i didn't think that i had any preconceived notions about this, but somehow, i did believe that this was adult and also supernatural/horror???? i don't even think i heard that anywhere, i just started expecting it at some point and was waiting for it to go full tilt in that direction, so maybe that's why i felt slightly underwhelmed by this. it also felt like it could have been at least 100 pages shorter on the school drama aspects for there to be more plot focus. i also saw most of the twists coming, but again, i can forgive that a little because this is ya. also, i was hoping it would have been a lot more dark academia-y and a LOT LOT more gay. but still fun!
