Ok, I was a little let down by this one. The premise is so cute - Shoshanna and Jake, two bookstore employees, vie for a desperately needed cash prize by selling the most number of books.

I think the biggest challenges were that the story read very young. Nothing wrong with that, but what I was hoping for. More than that, the story was very predictable with run-of-the-mill teen issues
Spoilerbroken car, parents fighting
. Again, I think a lot of readers will find this relatable, however, I don't think it's enough to make this story stand out from the crowd.

With so many amazing YA contemporaries out now, I'd say to borrow this or skip it.
