A Life's Work: On Becoming a Mother by Rachel Cusk

5.0

Who's cutting the onions? This was recommended to me by the Mom Rage podcast and I'm so glad I read it. It's not the type of book that would normally be on my radar. It's an honest, sentimental but not maudlin series of essays about motherhood. It describes the conflicting emotions between wanting time for yourself, but also wanting to spend quality time with your kids in a way that I've never seen put to paper before.
