Book Review: Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)
This book is rom-com gold! Alex Claremont-Diaz, First Son of the United States, and his “nemesis” Prince Henry of England go from enemies to lovers in a way that’s equal parts swoon-worthy and hilarious. The banter between Alex and Henry is sharp, flirty, and full of heart, and I couldn’t stop laughing at their antics—both in private and in public.
The supporting cast shines just as brightly. Alex’s sister June, BFF Nora, and the ever-iconic Zahra (give me her spinoff now!) make every scene pop with energy. Even the staff, like the understated but witty Shaan, add layers of humor and charm to the story.
While the romance is undeniably sweet, the book also explores heavier themes like identity, politics, and the pressure of public life. It’s a fun yet thoughtful reminder of what’s worth fighting for—and who you want by your side while you do it.
If you’re looking for a laugh-out-loud queer rom-com with depth, Red, White & Royal Blue is a must-read!
