Callum’s life going from normal and boring to the throne overnight happened just as quickly as my love for this book! This was definitely an instalove for me! And a lot of that is because of Callum. I instantly loved His Royal Highness. I couldn’t get enough of him. His quirks, his humor, his fun facts, his unapologetic way of being himself. But then again, a lot of that had to do with Oliver. Because he encouraged Callum to never be anything less than himself. Mr. Prime Minister made me just as protective of HRH as he was. It didn’t matter which POV it was, it was always apparent that Oliver found Callum amusing. And then it was even more obvious when feelings started getting involved. The obsession with each other. Their need. Their undeniable attraction to each other’s souls and hearts. Because that’s exactly what came first. Callum and Oliver confided in each other. And it was beautiful experiencing their comfort, compassion. They didn’t just bring out the best in each other, but they loved each other through it. Because it was NOT an easy road for them to travel! If you take out the pressures, the expectations, Oliver and Callum had an ease between them. Which really only made the situation harder.
