This is a book I hope will make its way onto the shelves of many middle school and high school libraries. It’s joyful, heartfelt, emotionally rich, complex, and full of diverse perspectives and stories. I’ve never been to a pow wow but this collection itself offers an experience that gives you a sense of the community feeling of these celebrations. Also, you’ll put it down wanting to check out more writing by the many authors featured here.
