3.75

I wish I could have given this 4 stars instead of 3.75 for a few reasons:
1) I liked and hated the descriptions of Sage and Dani together. I liked it because that’s how normal life is, hanging out & watching tv together and talking about their sibling trauma. What I didn’t like is how repetitive it was.. Constantly ordering food, watching tv, saying the same repeat paragraphs to each other nearly every chapter.
2) My boy Ansel… what a sweetheart. I wish we got to see him with a significant other at the end. He truly was the sweetest best friend I’ve read in a book. A dream boy… I just wish we got more of him in this story but
I’m glad Dani didn’t kiss him or do anything she’d regret or to lead him on, especially in Europe

3) The age gap. C’mon… why wasn’t he just freshly out of college. Lachlan could have easily been 24/25 instead of 29. It gave me bad vibes.
4) SASHA?! Why was she such a blabber mouth and butthurt over everything and then Dani didn’t care whatsoever about you know what. I guess I didn’t mark down any rating for that but it’s just a plot line I didn’t love.

What I did love:
1) K when the power was out… my favorite chapters.
not just for the spice, but when he opens the door and whispers her name… I got goosebumps as if it were ME!!

2) The chemistry between them was cute, real, HOT, and comforting. I do find the scenes at the school cringey and uncomfortable, even though that’s the point.
3)The ending storyline. Once you read, I think you’d appreciate what Lachlan did.
