Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

I think this might be my favorite discovery of 2020. It came recommended by a friend, and I don’t think I would have picked it up myself... but it’s really good! It’s a combination of a murder mystery and a romance, which I found strange initially but it actually works. It also contains a lot of descriptive imagery to describe the marsh where the story takes place, which kind of reminded me of Outer Banks. I love a good coming-of-age with a strong female protagonist and this is definitely that! You really root for Kya and let’s just say the ending was very satisfying
