The Foul Out by Jenni Bara

5.0

WOW!!! I didn't think I could fall in love with any more of Jenni Bara's men but WOW Kyle Bosco is everything. From a man who is kind of a jerk, playboy, and doesn't ever want to settle down.. he came out swinging (pun intended) when he meets Harper and her kids. But I really want to talk about the mental health rep. in this book. Harper is a single mom who has two kids, one being on the autism spectrum. And I just really appreciated how Jenni wrote the struggles and realistic battles with raising a autistic child. (*if you ever watched the TV show Parenthood it reminds me a lot of Max). Some parts were hard to read, but again it showed what it can be like not only as a single parent, but a single parent with a child with neurological differences. Kyle's childhood story and how it shaped him into who he is today and how he responds and supports Harper (and BOTH her children) was beyond incredible to read. I definitely got teary eyed a few times with the interactions with Kyle and Piper (Harper's daughter).

10 out of 10!!!
