The Juliette Society by Sasha Grey

I was really curious about the sinopsis, and I found it really cheap on BookDepository so I decided to give it a try.

It's kinda hard to describe what I think about this book, but I was so so tired when I reached the 50%. I didn't need half of the book, most of it had useless descriptions, and nothing relevant happened until the 70% mark, and even then I was pretty bored.

The writing style lacked of sense most of the time. It wasn't clear when the main character was having a fantasy or it was really happening to her. There was too much sex, really, too much. I was overwhelmed by the time I finished. It was like a porn movie, but worse. Porn usually gets you off, at least.

The dialogues weren't properly quoted sometimes. It got on my nerves every time she wrote something like: Are you okay, I said. Yes, he said.
Damn, was it so difficult to write an actual dialog? Clear conversations? Use quotations or something?

The ending didn't have much sense either, I read the last half of the book really fast, wishing at some point something interesting happened, but the story didn't catch my attention at all. Maybe at first I really wanted to give it a try, so I tried. But no, this wasn't a good book to me. In my opinion, it was a nonsense, and I don't recommend it.

Don't waste your time with this, I wish I could find something related to this premise, but well written and addicting and captivating. Not even the characters touched me. Nothing.
