Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

5.0

Margaret Rogerson has very quickly become one of my favourite authors. Her imagery is to die for and her characters make you fall in love, both with them and with their lives. I’ve never wanted a job as badly in my life as working in one of the libraries in this book.

I loved the sheer power that books hold in this, not only through the information they contain but also within themselves. It brought to life the beauty in the the truth that knowledge can be a powerful, and at times dreadful thing.

I personally adored this whole concept and I think anyone who was a deep love for books and magic would thoroughly enjoy this read.

Side note: Silas owns my heart. I like Nathaniel a whole bunch too, but SILAS. That demon <3 I love how blunt he is, how protective, no matter how grudgingly. He damn RAISED Nate, and I personally believe he did a bloody good job, especially considering all of Nate’s trauma that he had Ito deal with and the fact he isn’t even human. I have so much love and respect for Silas, so anyone reading, enjoy him, he is brilliant.
