I think it held its own rather well. We had great discussions about what identity means to each of us, and our perspective of the two daughters as well as the parents and other adults in their lives. At times, it was slow, and we all found ourselves not reading as often. Then later, we would all be anxiously waiting for us to know what happens next.

Who should read this? Someone who is open to hearing other, difficult perspectives, and really take it to heart. What does it mean to be white? Black? How would you identify yourself to others? What words would you choose to explain...you?
