To be honest, I expected a lot more from this book. I was halfway through and I still can't find that "thing" that I was expecting when I first picked this up from a book shelf and decided to read it. I don't know, maybe I just expected too much since one of the reviews stated that this was a "...paranormal thriller". There wasn't much thrill to the book. Although, there were times when I just had to keep turning the page to see what's gonna happen next.
But overall though, it's not that bad. The ending was predictable, but what the hell. I'm into the tragic, heavily twisted plots, the-protagonist-or-some-major-character-must-die-in-the-end kind of stories. Happy endings usually makes me want to puke, but in this case--in this book (since it was technically a "happy ending" since everyone got through the story alive), the ending still gave me goosebumps. Read to find out why.
