Overall I would describe this as 'cute'. Some of the anecdotes and insights were interesting as a Harry Potter fan. He very much gives off the vibe that he is grateful for his experiences and feels like it was luck that landed him in those places and spaces.
The writing was a little cheesy in places, in part due to the various Harry Potter references and jokes that the author attempted to squeeze in to his chapters. However, to me this cheesiness was comforting in a way? Like talking to an old friend or relative that always uses the same catchphrases or quotes tik toks at you.
Ultimately, I am left wanting more. Like more details and tidbits, more of his real opinions on things that happened to him. I think the discussions of his mental health challenges were so interesting, but also sort of dismissed in the limited explanation of being 'genetically predisposed' to mental health rather than connecting to any of his life experiences.
Anyway, if he ever wrote another memoir I would read it.
