Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

4.0

The last few films are the ones I remember the least, so I wasn't sure what to expect from this book going in to it. It almost immediately shot straight to the top of my favorites list though, despite how much Harry himself annoyed me this time. I found Harry to be far too self-centered for most of this book, but the lack of dramatics (compared to the first 4 books at least) were a refreshing change of pace. Harry and his friends battling with a teacher, rather than a magical mystery, was something I could relate to a lot more.

Edit (05.03.2023): I didn't love this one as much the second time around. Though admittedly, I am only re-reading these last few books for Remus and Tonks and there was little to no content for them in this one.
