A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole

Did not finish book.

1.0

DNF at 54% and I only got so far out of pure spite. I thought I could finish it fueled by hate alone, but I couldn't take anymore.

I wish I knew more words so that I could properly describe how bad this book is. I've read enough YA romance back in my day to know that it can be really good. This was not. The story line had the potential to be cute, but was so badly written, with piss poor editing. I seriously do not understand all the grown adults crying, screaming, throwing up over this.

A Walk to Remember walked so that this book could trip and fall off a cliff.

Page after page of literally nothing happening besides Poppy and Rune begging for heart and/or respiratory diagnoses. I strained my eyeballs rolling them so much.

Besides the horrible writing, Rune is just a horrible character. No redeeming qualities. Why would anyone ever write someone like him? Poppy was just the most boring girl in the world. And their relationship is something no teenager should ever aspire to. Marketing this book as a great teen love story is irresponsible, honestly.

I'm sure Tillie Cole is a lovely person, but I will never forgive her for putting this mess out into the world.
