Do I Know You? by Emily Wibberley, Austin Siegemund-Broka

4.5

It's been a minute since I picked up a romance novel that focuses on a couple working through their marital issues. This isn't the most common theme in the genre, but it's one that I find has the potential to delve into some really deep and intimate topics. I have to say, this book does a pretty good job of exploring those themes.

The whole concept of role-playing as strangers meeting for the first time adds a fun and playful element to the story, but it also manages to tackle more profound aspects quite effectively. Eliza and Graham are a couple I genuinely connected with and was rooting for right from the get-go.

If I had to nitpick a bit, I'd say the ending felt a tad rushed and underdeveloped. It just didn't ring entirely true for me that Eliza and Graham could resolve their issues as smoothly as the story portrayed.

Nevertheless, this is still a cute and unique story that fits quite nicely within the romance genre.
