Deep in the Darkness by Michael Laimo

1.0

I honestly don't know why this book has such good reviews. I'm suspect of the idea that this book even had an editor, with how many errors were in it. They made it hard to read at times (punctuation errors, words missing, etc.) The author repeated himself entirely too often, for no reason. I'm not sure I'll ever forget the address of that place, and it has no bearing on the story line so I don't know why he felt the need to beat it into our heads. Not to mention he describes the same things repeatedly in the same exact way. I did not feel like the characters were very well developed, and they were not people I at all cared for- not any of them. Their decisions seemed questionable from the moment I met them. The entire book had me scratching my head. The only reason I finished it was in hopes that things would make sense at the end (it didn't), and because I had made my library go through the process of borrowing it from another library system. Utterly unimpressed.
