Before this book existed, I was certain that enemy to lover was not my go-to trope, because sometimes the male lead character can be so freaking ruthless toward the female lead. But this book is certainly exceptional. I never cry this hard toward a romance book with a predictable happy ending, yet I found myself drowning in tears. This one has no plot hole at all, in my opinion. Josh and Jules' build-up story is flawless and so relatable to me in so many ways. Jules' fear about her past and the blackmailing her ex, Max, has given her is something that many women face these days. Not all real-life women have an acquaintance such as Christian Harper, but surely how she handled things and won at the end of the story kind of eased my feelings. Josh and Jules are surely my favorite pair, and their stories are definitely my favorites.
