I always have a hard time explaining Olivie's books but I feel like this one gave me an hindsight into what her brain is made like. She's an author I'll love, mostly because I liked good-written rambling of thoughts, and she kind of always seems to go where I would have gone. This is a love story, but it's mostly a story of beginnings, and I loved it for that specifically. I completely forgot I was reading, which is kind of a rare occurrence, less so with Blake's work. I'd say it's an important story, and a good representation of what mental illness feels like, in thoughts at least. It's brilliant because it's hardly linear, and I don't think I can find easier words to describe it other than: I loved it, it made me feel like I was "alive" in a new way.
