I really liked Psyche and Eros. Eros is given the order by his mother, Aphrodite, to kill Psyche (because Psyche's mother has arranged for her to marry the new Zeus). But there's something about Psyche that Eros just doesn't want to kill her....so he marries her, in the hopes that it will protect her. I loved that Eros has spent much of his life basically acting as an assassin (both character and body) for his mother, leading to him believing the worst about himself. I loved that Psyche isn't a waif but rather has curves and it's appreciated. I just liked their dynamic. I also like that the author doesn't make all of her female protagonists virginal. They aren't always super experienced, but they aren't blushing brides either. I also liked that Psyche figured her own way out of this.
Eros kind of, sort of, rescues her at the very end but she takes matters into her own hands and sets up the plan to publicly expose Aphrodite. I liked the first book of the series but liked this one better.
