This book was definitely cozy and low stakes. It felt very nostalgic for some of the books I read as a child for the like, low stakes of it all. I enjoyed the coffee shop atmosphere that this book had and I really liked the characters of Viv and Tandri. I liked that they both had pasts that they were trying to grow from and their relationship. I think the only reason this didn’t have that 5 star feeling for me was that, as a non-D&D girl, some of the character types and background were a little confusing for me. It did not impact the plot or anything, but I just wasn’t fully into the world as a result. Still a really great book and would definitely recommend!
