Disfigured: On Fairy Tales, Disability, and Making Space by Amanda Leduc

This was not necessarily the book I was expecting it to be. I thought it would be a more academic approach to the topic of disability and how it's depicted/represented in fairy tales. Instead, Disfigured navigates the author's own relationship to different pop culture landmarks (like Game of Thrones and superhero movies), as well as her own connection to fairy tales and the archetypes presented in them. By no means a bad book, just not what I was expecting.
