The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict, Victoria Christopher Murray

Loved but was slow at times! Just a true girl boss who was unapologetically working to make a name for herself in the 1900s. I felt like the authors touched on themes that truly mattered as well with the power of a name and the multilayered complexity of what it felt like to be a Black woman in the early 20th century. Only taking a star off because I think it went 25-50 pages too long.
